Abandonment of chemistry in the hotel
Our facility has turned its back on chemistry and has chosen Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SOA) to maintain our rooms and dining rooms. This patented process provides a more durable, safer and easier way to clean and disinfect hard surfaces. The SOA has been safely certified by regulators around the world and has earned the coveted Green Seal™ certification by meeting the GS-37 and GS-53 performance standards. The replacement of traditional sanitizers and cleaning chemicals by the SOA will help prevent the release of more than 10 million litres of toxic chemicals per month into groundwater, streams and rivers. Add to that packaging reduction, fuel consumption for transportation and chemical manufacturing, and the SOA is one of the best ways to reduce the hotel hygienist’s carbon footprint.
In addition, we use an ozone cannon. Ozone, oxidizing organic and inorganic substances, disinfects and eliminates viruses, bacteria, molds and spores.
These processes will be in place as of June 15, 2020. Until then, we will "rest" our rooms between two guests, so as not to take any risk.
